Detailed Information

The American Indian Society of Washington DC (AISDC) was established in 1966 by a group of young American Indian professionals working in Washington DC.

For more than 55 years, AISDC has worked to preserve Indian Culture through teaching and promoting customs and arts.   AIS puts emphasis on celebrating the unique and rich culture of America’s indigenous Nations and their contributions to society. We promote health education,  and participate in other civic duties that contribute to the social advancement and well-being of American Indian communities.
